Paula Shulman holds a clinical Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch New England Graduate School and a Masters in Education from Bank Street College of Education. In her work with families and couples over the past 35+ years, she has demonstrated her passionate commitment to helping people access the power of love in relationship as a source of healing. Paula has completed advanced training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Step-Family Systems. She is certification-eligible in EMDR and Internal Family Systems, and has advanced training in Nonviolent Communication. Paula specializes in helping people heal from emotional wounds, trauma and grief. She is particularly sensitive to vulnerability and has the ability to attune to the emotions of others. Her passion for the beauty of diversity in the human family has motivated her to be a leader in supporting couples to recognize, celebrate, and create a mosaic of cultural strengths and values in their relationships. She is the mother of two bi-racial daughters and four precious grandchildren, including bilingual, toddler-age twins. She revels in her own family mosaic of diverse cultures, and is becoming increasingly proficient in speaking Spanish.
