Alli Summerly, MA, LMHC Eligible

“I believe that a human life is a radically brave endeavor, full of uncertainty, awe, pleasure, and devastation. To hold even a fraction of our situation, to stay present, to relax, is an incredible feat. Our most intimate relationships expose our vulnerabilities and reach the core of what makes us human, and sometimes, this can feel unbearable. My goal is to help couples stay present with each other, to get curious and honest about what hurts, and to find the safety of connection in an unpredictable world.”

Alli transitioned into counseling after a career in agriculture, exploring the connections between human attachment, embodiment, and the systems they engaged with as a farmworker. Alli earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Trauma Counseling from Antioch New England. They have experience working in multiple mental health settings with clients from diverse backgrounds and life stages, and specifically providing trauma-informed care within the trans and queer communities.

Focusing on attachment, development, and how our earliest bonds and experiences shape us over time, Alli helps clients explore the roots of relational patterns within the safety of the therapeutic relationship. They use a direct, compassionate, and relational approach that opens space for new experiences and possibilities.

As part of our commitment to the community, Alli provides couples therapy at a reduced rate to support uninsured and low-income couples seeking relationship therapy.
